WANG Lin

I am a Ph.D. student at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. My research interests are Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Recommender systems, Graph Neural networks, etc. I got my B.Eng. and MSc degrees at the School of Astronautics, the Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU).

  • 05/2023, I will give a talk about the privacy of the Trustworthy Recommender Systems on the tutorial of The Web Conference 2023.

    • Recent Projects

    Actually, the most important project that I am currently working on is to diligently complete my doctoral training. Since my undergraduate major was not in computer science and my master's degree focused mainly on traditional machine learning, I did not receive systematic and comprehensive research training in the field of computer science. Therefore, my doctoral studies have been exceptionally difficult recently. I deeply realize the huge gap between myself and my classmates, so I am working hard to catch up. If there are friends who have had similar experiences, please feel free to contact me. We can help each other and share our grievances.

    • Research

    I'm interested in the Graph Neural Networks and the Recommender Systems. Besides, I have also been involved in research in the traditional Machine Learning field, such as Dimensionality Reduction.
